On Alleged "Remission" From Severe Bipolar Disorder
Abstract
Telling patients that they are "in remission" when they are only in partial remission may impede further recovery. Instead, patients should be assisted and empowered to move past residual delusions, become consistently considerate of others, and work to support themselves. Accomplishing these goals is arduous but deeply rewarding activity.
