In the paper entitled "Psychiatric Emergency Room Dispositions of HMO Enrollees" by Mark Olfson, M.D., in the June 1989 issue (pages 639-641), the numbers of nonwhite patients who were members of Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BC/BS) and who were Connecticut Health Care Plan (CHCP) enrollees were incorrectly stated. Ten percent of the BC/BS group (N=11) and 20 percent of the CHCP group (N=22) were nonwhite.
