Defining the Service Needs of Homeless Mentally Ill Persons

If prevention of homelessness among the chronic mentally ill is to be achieved, the mental health system must take responsibility for developing a continuous service model that matches patients with programs that meet their needs. An improved array of programs and services are required to address the strengths and limitations of this vulnerable population.
