An Interdisciplinary Team Approach to Geriatric Patient Care
Abstract
In a state psychiatric institution a cross section of skilled and volunteer mental health personnel are working as a team to provide a graduated treatment milieu for 770 geriatric patients. The team screened the patients, divided them into groups, and planned and implemented appropriate treatment programs according to their individual needs and abilities. It also introduced a program using behavior modification techniques in a small-group setting.
