Abstract

A news item on foster homes for war veterans in our September issue erroneously located Northport Veterans Administration Hospital in Virginia, instead of New York.In 1953 the Long Island hospital pioneered the program of placing mentally ill patients in carefully selected foster homes for rehabilitation.Last year 58 VA hospitals throughout the country were participating in the program.
